The project intents to convert the Pinheiros River and its banks into an urban linear park, to offer not only as a leisure and sporting area for the population, but also as a increasing way of urban mobility by creating bicycle lanes along the river’s banks. For this, urban and landscaping actions will be required, resulting in the urban landscape recovery and as a increase of the population’s quality life.

The issue involves a total park area of 2.5 million m², of great relevant for a city such as São Paulo in which the ratio of green area per inhabitant remains below the recommended by the World Health Organization, which is 12.13 m² of green area per inhabitant.
