The consecrated African Property Awards 2015 – 2016 selected Fernandes Arquitetos Associados among the winners, with the Nacala International Airport project in Mozambique, in the category “Public Service Architecture”. The award “The African Property Awards” is part of the already established International Property Awards and the main aim of the awards is to recognize excellence in the construction industry on a global stage. The winners of the African Property Awards with the highest score will compete with other winners from other regions of the world – Asia, Arabia, Europe, UK, Caribbean, Central and South America, Canada and the USA by the International Property Awards. The official announcement will take place in London in early December, after The Africa & Asia Property Awards Presentation Gala and Summit, an event that will bring together world leaders in the sector, in Dubai on November 11 and 12.

It is worth mentioning that the office has received the International Property Awards, at the 2012 edition, in recognition of the Pernambuco Arena project in São Lourenço da Mata (PE) in three categories: “Best International Public Service Architecture”; “Best Public Service Architecture Central & South America” and “Best Public Service Architecture Brazil”.
