COLISEUM – International event of the Sport segment, has a Daniel Hopf Fernandes presentation

On 28 and 29 April, the architects Daniel Hopf Fernandes and Luis Henrique de Lima, from Fernandes Arquitetos Associados will participate in the Coliseum USA Summit Conference in Orlando, Florida (USA). Daniel, who founded the firm in 1998, will give a presentation at the event, which gathers the key representatives and professionals from the world of sports segment. The meeting will be held at the Grand Bohemian Hotel and focuses on B2B presentations of ideas about the international sports industry, and the theme of this edition will be “Design, delivery, operation & legacy of stadia and arenas”.

Coliseum conferences are held in four key regions in the world: Middle East, India, China and the US. In each place, a forum that offers interconnectivity from all regions of the world is promoted, as well as unique platforms created from where knowledge is shared between local, regional and international experts who design, build, operate and manage venues. In these meetings, that also have, with the presence of major stakeholders and clients from the industry, happen debates and discussions about the challenges, solutions and lessons learnt in the stadium and arena business.

The two-day program includes the case’s study presentation “Lessons Learned from Brazil (Maracana)”, by Daniel Fernandes. The architect will have the opportunity to present the lessons learned from the award-winning retrofit project, developed by Fernandes Arquitetos, for the largest and most symbolic stadium in Brazil, the Maracanã – Journalist Mário Filho Stadium.
